Back from Phuket trip, we went to have some pizza for lunch before heading home. I was carrying 2 bags of liqour with 1 bottle in each and Valent is carrying our heavy luggage. We waited for our turn (though the restuarant was only 3/4 full) and here's my conversation with the RUDE waiter:
Waiter: "Table for ...?"
Me: "2 person"
Waiter directed me to a table for 2 person (with no extra room for us to put our luggage and 2 bags of liqour).
Me: "This table is too small, can I have a bigger one so that I have some space to put my stuff? Maybe a table for 4?"
Waiter (Give me a 25 cent look and said): "THEN WHY DO YOU STILL SAY TABLE FOR TWO???????"
Me (Shocked by his attitude): "I want to see you manager NOW!"
Manager came to me in less than a min. I tried to control my anger and explained to the manager. She was speechless after I have told her. Haha... think she never expect such rude behaviour from her staff too.
She aplogised profusely and assured that she will talk to the waiter concerned. She showed me to a table with bigger room space and have appointed a senior trainer to serve our table personally.
Wow... the service was excellent, he has displayed all the traits of a good customer service officer... Polite, kept customer informed, eye for details and he anticipated our needs too. I think they have did a good job with service recovery.
